Esther R. Barnhart

Esther focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, elder law and real estate. She earned a B.A. in sociology from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. After college, she worked for several years as assistant director of gerontological research at a rehabilitation center in the Boston area before attending law school. In 1977, she received her J.D. from Boston College School of Law.

Following graduation from law school, she worked as a staff attorney and later as director of the Senior Citizens Law Project in Woburn, Massachusetts and at Cambridge Somerville Legal Services. 

Esther joined Strout & Payson, P.A. in 1982.
